I’d like to say I am immune from this, but I do end up cringing when I see things like The Purpose-Driven Life or anything by Dan Brown on people’s shelves. I have lifelong friends for whom my respect waned a teensy bit when I found out they liked The Da Vinci Code. But hey. As long as you read, good for you. Taste is subjective anyway.
